Baseball Recap: Rockdale County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cedar Shoals on Wednesday, Rockdale County came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell 3-0 to the Grovetown Warriors on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Rockdale County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Celeb Ellison, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Rockdale County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Grovetown, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Rockdale County by a score of 13-3 later that day.
