Basketball Game Preview: College Park Falcons vs. Northgate Broncos

College Park hasn't had much luck against Northgate recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The College Park Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Northgate Broncos at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

It was a Battle of the Birds when College Park duked it out withBerean Christian on Wednesday. College Park took a hard 47-32 fall against Berean Christian.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 58 points the game before, Northgate was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They took a blow against Acalanes, falling 76-24. The loss continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Dons: they've now lost eight in a row.

College Park will need focus on slowing down Ava Nicolas, one of several Northgate players who made an impact when they last played. She posted six points and five boards. Nicolas is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Hana Neuman was another key player, putting up eight points.

Northgate's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-5. As for College Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.

College Park lost to Northgate on the road by a decisive 45-31 margin in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Northgate's Maddison Sardelich, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
