Basketball Recap: Moss Point Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Moss Point extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost 49-26 to the Harrison Central Red Rebels. The Tigers lost against the Red Rebels in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 69-67 score last time.

Harrison Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. They not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since November 30, 2024 (when they won 74-31).

Harrison Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Espinoza, who went 5-for-7 to rack up 16 points and five steals. Espinoza is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jeremiah Bonner was another key player, putting up seven points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moss Point will face off against Ocean Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Harrison Central, they will take on Rain at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
