Basketball Recap: Granite Hills Grizzlies vs. Kern Valley Broncs
Granite Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 53-25 loss at the hands of the Kern Valley Broncs.
Leading Kern Valley to victory were Jayda Bushling and Ava Elliott. Bushling dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Elliott scored eight points in addition to 11 rebounds and five steals. What's more, Bushling also racked up five offensive rebounds, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Elli Jeans was another key player, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Granite Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Kern Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Granite Hills will challenge Delano at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Kern Valley has already played their next match, a 54-34 victory against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on the 27th.
