Football Recap: Noblesville Takes a Loss

Noblesville and Fishers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Noblesville had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Tigers, falling 41-13. The Millers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it nine in a row.

Although Noblesville took the loss, they still got scores from Nick Morris and Ethan Clark.

Fishers got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gage Sturgill out in front who threw for 195 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes. What's more, Sturgill racked up 144.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September. Another back making a difference was Ryan Thembulembu, who rushed for 89 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries.

Noblesville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Fishers, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Noblesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fishers, they will be playing at home against Hamilton Southeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
