Recap: Hackleburg Panthers vs. Colbert Heights Wildcats
The Hackleburg Panthers entered their tilt with the Colbert Heights Wildcats with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Hackleburg managed a 41-35 victory over Colbert Heights on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hackleburg also won the last time the pair played on January 9th.
Hackleburg found their leader in underclassman Ellie Nichols, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Nichols hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Jordin Ware, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Hackleburg has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Colbert Heights, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hackleburg will take on Brilliant at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Brilliant is ranked 189th, while Hackleburg is ranked 200th). As for Colbert Heights, they will play host again and welcome Waterloo, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
