            Baseball Recap: Bainbridge Bearcats vs. Calhoun Yellow Jackets        
        
		
        
        
            With a playoff win on the line, Bainbridge rose to the challenge  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Calhoun Yellow Jackets as they made off with  a  9-3 win. The  victory was nothing new for the Bearcats as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Brooks Hines made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   nine  hits (and only one walk). He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Bainbridge is 5-2 when he allows at  most  one  walk, but 7-11 otherwise. Hines was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March.

 In other batting news,  Graham Beckham was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Amarion Donaldson, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Bainbridge's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 12-13. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-14.
Bainbridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellow Jackets: the pair will be back at it again later today.
