Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Warriors vs. Tippecanoe Red Devils

The Lebanon Warriors will head out to challenge the Tippecanoe Red Devils at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lebanon comes in on seven and Tippecanoe on eight.

Lebanon came out on top against Winton Woods on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run second inning. Lebanon's pitchers stepped up to hand Winton Woods a 13-0 shutout. That looming 13-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lebanon yet this season.

Meanwhile, Tippecanoe won against Butler on Wednesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Red Devils were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over Stebbins. Considering the Red Devils have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ethan Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Eli Kettel, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. James Merry was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Tippecanoe hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.

Lebanon's record is now 14-5. As for Tippecanoe, their record now sits at 20-5.
