Soccer Recap: Perris Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Perris came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let the Lakeside Lancers onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Lancers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Perris' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-7. As for Lakeside, they now have a losing record at 4-5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perris will head out to take on Citrus Hill at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perris' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Lakeside, they will venture away from home to face off against Moreno Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeside's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
