Baseball Recap: East Laurens Triumphs

East Laurens's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Southwest Patriots get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won seven in a row.

Jakeb Logue tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. That one hit allowed gave him a new career-low.

On the hitting side, East Laurens got a massive performance out of Konner Oneal, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. East Laurens is 2-1 when Oneal posts three or more hits, but 4-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Mimbs, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

East Laurens' win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Southwest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
