Winchester Thurston hadn't done well against Serra Catholic recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Winchester Thurston strolled past the Serra Catholic Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 64-45. The victory was nothing new for Winchester Thurston as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Despite the defeat, Serra Catholic saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bella Dumbroski went 11 of 22 to rack up 25 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Dumbroski is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kendalyn Niedermeyer, who posted nine points along with five assists and three steals.

Winchester Thurston's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points over those games. As for Serra Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.
