Football Game Preview: Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks vs. Dighton Hornets

The Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks are taking a road trip to take on the Dighton Hornets on Friday. Wheatland-Grinnell has given up an average of 37.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wheatland-Grinnell's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Tescott on Friday. They were beaten by the Trojans 46-0. The Thunderhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Dighton scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 26-20 to Logan/Palco. While the Hornets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Logan/Palco 14-6 in the first quarter.

Dighton's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Wheatland-Grinnell was taken down by Dighton 54-6 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Thunderhawks were down 54-6.
