Basketball Recap: Parkland Comes Up Short

Parkland lost against Emmaus on January 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Parkland Trojans fell to the Emmaus Hornets 53-49. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 162nd, while the Hornets are ranked 31st).

Parkland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Emmaus, the victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkland will take on Louis E. Dieruff at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Emmaus, they will face off against Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Emmaus is facing Whitehall at the right time seeing as Whitehall is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
