Soccer Game Preview: Marina vs. Pacifica

Marina is 0-5 against Pacifica since November of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Mariners at 5:00 p.m.

Marina is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Estancia on Tuesday. The Vikings and the Eagles finished up their match with a 1-1 draw.

Marina's goal came courtesy of Haylee Magpoc, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pacifica). They beat Quartz Hill by a goal, winning 4-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Pacifica considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Marina's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-1. As for Pacifica, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Marina came up short against Pacifica when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 4-2. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
