Recap: Sutter Huskies vs. Bear River Bruins
The Sutter Huskies lost against the Bear River Bruins back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Sutter received a tough blow as they fell 53-39 to Bear River. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sutter in their matchups with Bear River: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Sutter still got an impressive performance from Torrence Harter, who dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 16 rebounds, and ten blocks. Harter is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Reet Bains, who scored ten points.
Sutter has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Bear River, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Colfax the next time they take the court. Bear River will host Colfax at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Sutter will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
