Softball Recap: Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Comes Up Short

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was the 11-8 winner over Alta-Aurelia when they last played one another back in June of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hawks took a 13-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Thursday.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn dropped their record down to 5-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Alta-Aurelia, their win bumped their record up to 6-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn will host Sibley-Ocheyedan on Monday. As for Alta-Aurelia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Central Calhoun on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a 19-game losing streak.
