Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Quincy

Quincy won the last time they faced Chester and things went their way on Thursday too. The Quincy Trojans walked away with a 42-35 win over the Chester Volcanoes. That's two games straight that the Trojans have won by exactly seven points.

Quincy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Skylar McCarthy out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 boards. McCarthy is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Nussle, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and three blocks.

Quincy pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Chester, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.
