Soccer Game Preview: Gatewood vs. Central Georgia Arts

The Gatewood Gators are taking a road trip to challenge Central Georgia Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Gatewood has struggled recently with 13 losses in a row, while Central Georgia Arts will arrive with five straight victories.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Gatewood's offense. They lost 5-0 to St. George's on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Central Georgia Arts kept a clean sheet against Trinity Christian on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over Trinity Christian. The result was nothing new for Central Georgia Arts, who have now won 11 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Central Georgia Arts pushed their record up to 12-4-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those five games. As for Gatewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Gatewood couldn't quite get it done against Central Georgia Arts in their previous meeting back in March of 2018 as they fell 3-1. Can the Gators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
