Baseball Game Preview: Belfast Lions vs. Cony Rams

Belfast is 0-6 against Cony since April of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Rams at 4:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Belfast came up short against Hampden and fell 7-4.

Belfast saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Iven Ingraham, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Ingraham has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, while Cony put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Waterville. The Rams put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 15-0 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by eight runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Cony and bumps their season record up to 8-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Belfast, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Belfast might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Cony in their previous meeting back in June of 2025. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
