Football Recap: Rome Free Academy Comes Up Short

Rome Free Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Christian Brothers Academy Brothers and fell 66-6. While losing is never fun, the Black Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Brothers are ranked third).

Rome Free Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Christian Brothers Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Rome Free Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe West Genesee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Christian Brothers Academy will challenge rival Liverpool at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Brothers 7.2, the Warriors 10.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
