Soccer Game Preview: Hiland vs. Tri-Valley

The Hiland Hawks will take on the Tri-Valley Scotties at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. Hiland is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Hiland is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Minerva an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. Give Hiland's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Tri-Valley was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mt. Vernon.

Tri-Valley now has a losing record of 6-7-2. As for Hiland, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2-2.

Hiland took their win against Tri-Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 4-1 score. Will the Hawks repeat their success, or do the Scotties have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
