Basketball Game Preview: Warner Wildcats vs. Ocean View Christian Patriots

Warner and Ocean View Christian are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Warner Wildcats will be playing at home against the Ocean View Christian Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Warner: 20.2, Ocean View Christian: 24.2) so any points scored will be well earned.

Warner's tournament run continued when they took on Desert Mirage on Saturday. Warner never let Desert Mirage onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The two-point effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Ocean View Christian ended up a good deal behind San Diego Academy on Tuesday and lost 40-22. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Warner's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Ocean View Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Warner strolled past Ocean View Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a score of 45-26. Will Warner repeat their success, or does Ocean View Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
