Overton waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 61-29 victory over the Axtell Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Overton was led to victory by Halynn Hughes and Daisy Ryan. Hughes dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards, while Ryan posted 14 points and six steals. Hughes is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. Overton was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Axtell only racked up four.
