Beaumont United picks up 15th straight win on the road

Recap: Beaumont United Timberwolves vs. North Shore Mustangs

The Beaumont United Timberwolves entered their tilt with the North Shore Mustangs with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. Beaumont United came out on top against North Shore by a score of 60-49 on Wednesday. Given Beaumont United's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while North Shore is ranked 277th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Beaumont United's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kayde Dotson led the charge by scoring 14 points along with five steals. Clarence Payia was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Despite the loss, North Shore still got an impressive performance from Teddious Mayes, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Mayes continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Terrence ?Tj? Alford, who scored seven points.

Beaumont United pushed their record up to 23-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for North Shore, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-13.

Beaumont United will be playing at home against Kingwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Shore, they will head out on the road to face off against King at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
