Softball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Lafayette hit Northwest with a six-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions lost 13-3 to the Lancers. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Northwest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adeline Paszkiewicz, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Lafayette, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Northwest will welcome Jackson at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lafayette, they will head out on the road to take on Westminster Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
