Baseball Recap: Walnut Grove's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It's playoff time, and Walnut Grove had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Ola Mustangs by a score of 8-4 on Friday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 10-0 win on Wednesday.

Sam Martell was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two runs, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Sean Martell, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Walnut Grove lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Walnut Grove's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 20-12. As for Ola, their defeat ended a 15-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 28-4.

As of now, neither Walnut Grove nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
