Baseball Recap: Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes vs. East Hall Vikings
Monroe Area won the last time they faced East Hall and things went their way on Friday too. Monroe Area blew past East Hall 12-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Purple Hurricanes.

Monroe Area got a great performance from Parker Ashley as he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Ashley a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
At the plate, Monroe Area let Cayson Gmerek and Hamilton Shinn run wild. Gmerek scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Shinn went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. What's more, Gmerek posted two RBI, the most he's had since March 4th. Another player making a difference was Parker Sims, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
