Soccer Recap: Los Lunas Takes a Loss

Los Lunas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Albuquerque Bulldogs, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Los Lunas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Albuquerque are ranked 13th).

Los Lunas' defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Albuquerque, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Los Lunas wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against West Mesa on the 18th. As for Albuquerque, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Rio Grande on the 23rd.
