Soccer Game Preview: Sycamore vs. Fairfield

The Sycamore Aviators will take on the Fairfield Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Sycamore is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Summit Country Day just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Sycamore's first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Fairfield earned a 3-1 victory over Middletown on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Fairfield's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Middletown are ranked 298th).

Sycamore's draw makes their record 9-4-1 this season. As for Fairfield, the win got them back to even at 7-7-1.
