Soccer Recap: Christian Brothers Comes Up Short

Christian Brothers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Woodcreek Timberwolves an easy 4-0 victory. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2019.

Christian Brothers now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Woodcreek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Brothers will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ponderosa at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Woodcreek also won't see the pitch for a while: their next game is against Vista del Lago at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Vista del Lago will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Woodcreek surely won't give up without a fight.
