Softball Recap: Bainbridge Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bainbridge's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-0 to the Cairo Syrupmakers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Syrupmakers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Bainbridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katelyn Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Bainbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Cairo, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Bainbridge will challenge Seminole County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.36 runs per game on average), something the Bearcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cairo, they will square off against Peach County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
