Baseball Game Preview: Blue Springs South Jaguars vs. Kickapoo Chiefs

The Blue Springs South Jaguars will head out to face off against the Kickapoo Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Blue Springs South comes in on three and Kickapoo on 13.

Blue Springs South barely beat Rock Bridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Jaguars blew past the Bruins 8-2 on Friday. Considering the Jaguars have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Kickapoo faced Ozark in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Chiefs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers, sneaking past 1-0. That's two games straight that the Chiefs have won by just one run.

Blue Springs South's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Kickapoo, their victory bumped their record up to 26-9.

Blue Springs South skirted past Kickapoo 4-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2022. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Chiefs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
