Soccer Game Preview: Cate vs. St. Bonaventure

The Cate Rams will head out to square off against the St. Bonaventure Seraphs at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cate's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Cate's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Thacher. The game was the first time Cate have beaten Thacher on their pitch since December 5, 2023.

Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure and Villanova Prep finished up their match with a 0-0 draw on Thursday.

With that draw, St. Bonaventure's record moves to 3-5-2. As for Cate, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-2.

Cate might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from St. Bonaventure in their previous matchup back in December of 2025. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
