Softball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Clarinda Cardinals, falling 15-0. The Yellowjackets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Clarinda, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Jefferson has already played their next game, a 13-1 loss against Sergeant Bluff-Luton on the 12th. As for Clarinda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-3 victory against Shenandoah on the 12th.
