Baseball Recap: Kendrick Takes a Loss

Kendrick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 35-27 to the Carver Tigers. The Cherokees were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Taven Leonard was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Revel Edwards, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

Kendrick's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Carver, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kendrick will head out to challenge Hardaway at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hardaway is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season. As for Carver, they will square off against Columbus at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
