Basketball Recap: Coast Union Comes Up Short on the Road Against Coastal Christian

Coast Union had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 68-8 loss at the hands of the Coastal Christian Conquerors on Friday. The Broncos haven't had much luck with the Conquerors recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Coastal Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carly Starkovich, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 steals. The dominant performance gave Starkovich a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jenna Starkovich, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Coastal Christian and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Coast Union will challenge Maricopa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Coastal Christian, they will take on Cate at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
