Garden Plain had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Douglass Bulldogs 56-14 on Thursday. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 37 points or more this season.
Garden Plain found their leader in sophomore Braylen Dold, who rushed for 56 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 46 receiving yards and one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Pete McGregor, who gained 37 total yards and two touchdowns.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Garden Plain, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Dold, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
