Softball Recap: Pueblo East Takes a Loss

Pueblo East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Pueblo Centennial Bulldogs. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Pueblo East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Triniti Pacheco, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Pueblo East now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Pueblo Centennial, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-6.

Coming up, Pueblo East will square off against Kennedy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Commanders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.69 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pueblo Centennial, they will challenge Mesa Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Grizzlies have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season.
