While Monterey put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Stevenson. The Toreadors walked away with a 5-0 win over the Pirates. The Toreadors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Tyson Beyah was excellent, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Anthony Esquivel was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Monterey hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Monterey's record now sits at 13-14. As for Stevenson, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-7.

As of now, neither Monterey nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
