Baseball Recap: Berrien Takes a Loss

Berrien was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-5 to the Bacon County Raiders. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rebels of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Paxton Hendley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Kilpatrick, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Berrien's defeat dropped their record down to 8-19. As for Bacon County, they moved to 9-15 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Berrien didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Hawkinsville on the 17th. Hopefully Bacon County paid attention to the Rebels' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Rebels at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
