Campo Verde came tearing into Saturday's game with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.6 points), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Millennium Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Given the Coyotes' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona flag football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Tigers are ranked 95th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Campo Verde's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged four passes before it was all said and done. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Jaiyana Bogan-Jacobs and Jayda Haley, who each picked up two interceptions apiece.

Campo Verde's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Millennium, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, Campo Verde will venture away from home to square off against Arizona College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Millennium, they have already played their next contest, a 7-3 victory against Tucson High Magnet School on the 27th.
