Volleyball Recap: University Liggett's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

University Liggett lost against Richard back in November of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights came up short against the Pioneers, falling 3-0. The loss put an end to the Knights' undefeated start to the season.

While University Liggett had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-22.

Having lost for the first time this season, University Liggett fell to 4-1. As for Richard, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

University Liggett will be playing in front of their home fans against Everest Collegiate at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richard, they are taking a road trip to square off against Austin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
