Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Ida's Winning Streak

Ida dropped down to 22-6 on Tuesday, ending the team's 12-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Dundee Vikings by a score of 3-1. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

As for Dundee, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-14 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 28th.

For Dundee's part, Cam Fairchild spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. Fairchild has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Dundee's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Travyn Vajcner, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave Vajcner a new career-high. Angelo Graves was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As of now, neither Ida nor Dundee have any future games scheduled.
