Basketball Game Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos

The Roseville Tigers will challenge the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Roseville will be strutting in after a win while Twelve Bridges will be coming in after a loss.

Twelve Bridges will be up against a hot Roseville team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Roseville walked away with a 39-29 victory over Nevada Union on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges came up short against Placer on Wednesday and fell 47-34. The Raging Rhinos haven't had much luck with the Hillmen recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Twelve Bridges saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addison Carpenter almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. Maisie Dennis was another key player, putting up seven points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Even though they lost, Twelve Bridges smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 16 consecutive matchups.

Twelve Bridges' loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Roseville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Roseville came up short against Twelve Bridges in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 44-36. Can Roseville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
