Hearts Academy extended their winning streak to nine on Saturday, bumping them up to 9-0. They were the clear victors by an 18-9 margin over the Trinity Prep Lions. Considering the Panthers have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Trinity Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

For Trinity Prep's part, Levi Barrelle made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That RBI was Barrelle's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jerrin Mitchell, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Coming up, Hearts Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Praise Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Trinity Prep, they will venture away from home to take on Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
