The Eisenhower Tigers will square off against the Salina Central Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Eisenhower took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 46-13 win over Newton.

Brayden Pappas was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 244 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. Those 244 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Ribaudo, who threw for 228 yards and three TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Eisenhower was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 286 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newton only rushed for 125.
Meanwhile, Salina Central strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 62-13 victory over Haysville Campus. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Mustangs' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Colts are ranked 133rd).
Eisenhower better focus on containing Cooper Reves and Griffin Hall as the pair were huge in Salina Central's win. Reves rushed for 157 yards and three scores on only 11 carries, while Hall threw for 128 yards and four touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. Reves is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 157 every time he's taken the field this season.
Salina Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Kytrell Johnson, Jeremiah Smith, and Alex Garcia picked up one apiece.
Eisenhower's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Salina Central, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Eisenhower has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 150.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Salina Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 289.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything went Eisenhower's way against Salina Central in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Eisenhower made off with a 51-28 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Reves, who rushed for 162 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Tigers still be able to contain Reves? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
