Basketball Game Preview: Del Norte Nighthawks vs. Fallbrook Warriors

The Del Norte Nighthawks will head out to square off against the Fallbrook Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Del Norte is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Rancho Bernardo on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Del Norte was beaten by Rancho Bernardo 71-37. While losing is never fun, the Nighthawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 750th, while the Broncos are ranked 107th).

Meanwhile, Fallbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Poway.

Del Norte has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Fallbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Del Norte took a serious blow against Fallbrook when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 71-29. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Fallbrook's Grace Nordeen, who shot 4-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds.
