Football Recap: DasCHE Comes Up Short

DasCHE lost against Oklahoma City Patriots HomeSchool back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans were outmatched by the Patriots and fell 45-6. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1157th in Texas, while the Patriots are ranked 201st in Oklahoma).

Despite the loss, DasCHE still got an impressive performance from Kale Porter, who picked up 101 receiving yards and one score. Porter showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 67 yards.

DasCHE didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Sterling Ward.

This is the second loss in a row for DasCHE and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Oklahoma City Patriots HomeSchool, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

Looking ahead, DasCHE will host CTSA O at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will be up against the Outlaws' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.43 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oklahoma City Patriots HomeSchool, they will challenge Christ Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Oklahoma City Patriots HomeSchool will need to watch out since Christ Prep Academy has now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
