Basketball Recap: Cardinal Newman Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Cardinal Newman couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a hard 72-58 fall against the Carondelet Cougars on Friday. The Cardinals have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Cardinal Newman's defeat dropped their record down to 25-5. As for Carondelet, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-6.

As of now, neither Cardinal Newman nor Carondelet have any future games scheduled.
