Baseball Recap: Mt. Blue Gets the Win

Mt. Blue won the last time they faced Camden Hills and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars walked away with a 9-4 win over the Windjammers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Karter Meader spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Gary Harkins was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Oliver Cormier was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Mt. Blue's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Camden Hills, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mt. Blue is set to square off against their familiar foe Skowhegan at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Camden Hills will take on rival Bangor at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
